Indigo sat back at her desk and let the sun shine on her face. She tiredly pushed aside her data recorder and turned to get a drink of water. Indigo sighed. It has been a long day and it was only afternoon. There was still a long ways to go before she could feel her head touch a pillow. This had been one of those days when she missed her dear mentor Astelard Fisto greatly. His calm demeanor and great skills at listening had always been a balm to her. She shook off a feeling of rising grief and walked over to the window. The city was truly beautiful at this time of day. The domed roofs glowed in the midday sun.
Speeders passed by the window heading for destinations unknown. Indigo was troubled in her heart. There had been many raids on the outskirts of Republic territory. Who was behind them she wasn't sure, but her senses told her it was the Sith. Trying to erode the trust of planets in the Republic and the Jedi to protect them she wasn't certain. The Jedi Democratic Republic was not so old as to have engendered absolute faith as of yet by all the systems. Anything that affected that confidence had to be dealt with swiftly. Who could she choose to investigate this matter and count on their discretion? Then it came to her. He would be perfect. His lightsaber skills were formidable so she would not worry about him being on his own. He was capable of deductive reasoning and stealth. he was in the city at present. She could have sought out his mind, but decided not to. Some people were disconcerted by it. Nodding to herself she opened a commlink.
"Raclin would you come to my office as soon as possible please?" she spoke quietly into the link. His affirmative answer came swiftly in a deep, rumbling voice. She closed the link and waited for his arrival.
